Acute Inpatient Care Services at Barnwell County Hospital
Barnwell County Hospital provides patients with some of the finest physicians, nurses and support staff to help meet our patient’s needs. Our hospitalists are specially trained internal medicine physicians who are devoted to the care of our patients. The kind, compassionate care you will receive from the nursing staff shows our love and devotion for our patients. Our nurses are trained in advanced life support for adult and pediatric patients, as well as critical care management.

Surgical Services
Barnwell County Hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient surgeries. Surgeries are performed utilizing the latest medical technologies and by experienced surgeons, who are considered the best in their field. Most of our procedures are performed laparoscopically. This minimally invasive surgery allows surgeons to perform an operation with less trauma and pain resulting in a faster recovery. Our Surgical team consists of  Nurses, Techs and Nurse Anesthetists trained in the surgical care and recovery of patients.

Rapid Response Team
Our rapid response team consists of nurses and respiratory therapists who are available anytime to evaluate a patient that has a change in their medical condition. An employee, a patient, or a family member who feels that after being evaluated by the primary nurse, the patient requires further evaluation and immediate treatment can call the rapid response team. The rapid response team provides immediate intervention for a patient in need. The family achieves peace of mind by having a way of notifying the rapid response team for their family member.

Hospitalist
Our Hospitalist program provides an in-house Internal Medicine Physician to care for you around the clock. The Hospitalist cares for your medical needs as an inpatient and consults with your regular family physician upon discharge.
